On book tour

Q:  You've been traveling since The Recovering Sorority Girls' Guide to a Year's Worth of Perfect Parties was released in mid-March.  How was the book tour?

Morgan:  Book tour has been crazy, but it reinforces my belief that we have the best part time job ever.  We got to travel to a lot great cities, visit with some of our friends and family, and meet new people.  It's really been a lot of fun.

Brooksie:  Plus there were fabulous new restaurants we got to try, and all kinds of neat shopping to check out.

Q:  So if you had to pick a favorite city from book tour...

Morgan:  We went to Cleveland, my hometown, which I'm always partial to.  But I also always feel at home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina because it's where my parents are from, and I grew up visiting there.  For new cities, I really liked Nashville.

Brooksie:  I really liked Jackson, Mississippi and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Q:  Was there anything bad about book tour?

Morgan:  We always felt rushed.  We would've liked to spend more time in some of the cities we visited.  The schedule also made us slightly less than ideal houseguests.

Brooksie:  We were out of town for some special celebrations hosted by our friends here in DC.

Q:  With tour book tour winding down, what's next?

Morgan:  More writing and research.  We're working on the manuscript for our second book and developing the proposal for our third.

Brooksie:  And lots of other things.  We're doing a lot of radio shows, and we're working on some speeches for some groups that have invited us to speak.  We're definitely staying busy.
