Top Ten List

The purpose of a mixer is to allow two or more groups to socialize with one another.  An activity or theme that breaks the ice or forces conversation gets the party started quickly.

Some common collegiate Greek mixers include:
  • Tie Me, Lei Me - guys give the girls their ties and girls give the guys flower leis
  • Nuts and Bolts (or Lock and Key) - the guys all get different nuts and must find the girl with the matching bolt
  • Disco - because everyone looks funny doing the YMCA in clothes from the '70's
  • Graffiti T-shirts - everyone wears a white t-shirt which is signed by all the other members of the opposite sex

Collegiates - has your chapter developed a great mixer?  Does it force the boys to talk to the girls?  Would sharing your party breakthrough improve the social lives of others?  If so, tell us all about at info@recoveringsororitygirls.com.  And check back, because we'll be posting the best ideas here!
