You took the quiz and found out that the Kentucky Derby party is not for you.  Here are the recipes you will need for the Preakness party alternative.

High Concept Appetizer:  Crab Cakes
Signature Cocktail:  The Black Eyed Susan

Crab Cakes  - Serves 24
2 pounds crab meat (lump or backfin preferred)
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 TBL Dijon mustard
1 ½ tsp Worcestshire sauce
2 tsp Cayenne pepper

1/4 cup minced onion & minced red bell pepper
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
3 cups unseasoned bread crumbs
1 1/2 cups canola oil.

In a large mixing bowl mix together the crab, egg, mustard, Worcestshire sauce, cayenne, bell pepper, onions, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. Mix well, using your hands.

Pat the crab mixture into about 24 small cakes or balls . Spread the crumbs on a piece of wax paper or in a bowl.  Coat the cakes on all sides.  Place crabs to fry in heated vegetable oil.  Cook in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry until golden, about 3 minutes on each side. Serve hot.
