WASHINGTON, DC, November 2, 2005 -
The Society of Recovering Sorority Girls, through its founders Kristina “Morgan” Rose and Deandra “Brooksie”
Brooks, accept the Cleveland Plain Dealer’s offer to become contributing
writers. Rose and Brooks’ column will be featured monthly in the Plain Dealer’s PDQ.
"We are thrilled to be writing for
the Plain Dealer," stated Rose, who hails from the Cleveland suburb of Solon, Ohio.
Each column will include a party plan
and offer tips for the party’s food, decorations, and atmosphere. While
the format will be similar to Rose and Brooks’ The Recovering Sorority Girls’
Guide to a Year’s Worth of Perfect Parties (Andrews McMeel, 2005), the content will be exclusive to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
“This will definitely be a lot
of fun,” added Brooks, also a Buckeye, from Xenia, Ohio. “We’ll be able to offer party plans that immediately resonate with trends
in today’s society and culture.”
Rose and Brooks’ first column,
an excerpt from their book, appeared in the PDQ on Sunday, September 11. Their
second column ran on Sunday, October 16, featuring a wine tasting party unique to their home state of Ohio. A third column is scheduled for publication
on Sunday, November 13.
“I hope Cleveland
is ready to party, because we’re certainly ready to give them plenty of ways to do it,” concluded Rose.
