So you may not be a Barbie girl or living in a Barbie world, but you have to admit,
that plastic icon is here to stay. We blame it on a childhood fascination with all those sparkly outfits and plastic
shoes, but we do have a certain fondness for the girl. Morgan remains inspired by the feminist thinking Barbie represented
- introduced in 1959, Barbie was an elegant, career-minded gal. That dream house and corvette belonged to Barbie, not
her boyfriend Ken. Brooksie still considers Barbie as one of her role models because "she's a woman who proved that
women can do anything - wearing high heels and with a matching purse nonetheless."
She may have started out as a model, but in the last 40 years, Barbie has had over
70 different careers. Not to mention, all those outfits. So why not celebrate the girl who has given so much joy
to so many little girls. Host a Barbie Party!

Menu
Barbie was and still is a busy gal - juggling work demands with a busy social calendar.
We're sure she used a catering service, and so should you. Check out Appetizers to Go. Most grocery stores offer catering options and tons of pre-made items.
Think lady finger cookies, a veggie tray (spice up that pre-made dip with a hint of wasabi), frozen quiches that just require
baking, etc.

Decorations
Go for a splash of Barbie's favorite color - pink. Incorporate some
pink balloons, pink flowers, and pink table cloths to create a party-like atmosphere. True Barbie aficionados can incorporate
their Barbie collectibles into the party's decor and use official Barbie paper goods.
Signature Cocktail
Any type of pink drink. Think pink champagne, cosmopolitans, seabreezes,
strawberry daiquiris, etc.
