WASHINGTON, DC – The Society of Recovering Sorority Girls, through its founders
Kristina "Morgan" Rose and Deandra "Brooksie" Brooks, urge New Year’s Eve party revelers to "drink American" this New
Year’s Eve. Recognizing the tradition of celebrating the New Year with Champagne, Morgan and Brooksie recommend hostesses
to stock up on sparkling wines made in America.
"The French really haven’t done anything to support our country in 2003, so
why should Americans support their economy by purchasing Champagne?" questioned Morgan.
Champagne takes its name from the region in France where it is grown; therefore only
French wines can legitimately be called Champagne. However, numerous American wine growers have mastered the Champagne method.
This fermentation technique causes white wine sparkle like Champagne.
"Drinking lots of sparkling wines from California is the patriotic thing to do,"
explained Brooksie.
"I’ll drink to that!" agreed Morgan.
Morgan and Brooksie will only serve American-grown, Champagne method sparkling wines
at their "Where Will 2004 Take You" New Year’s Eve Party.
