WASHINGTON, DC – The Society of Recovering Sorority Girls, through
its founders Kristina “Morgan” Rose and Deandra “Brooksie” Brooks implore fabulous party girls everywhere to celebrate
one of the first rites of spring: “Little Black Dress Day”.
“Although I normally prefer to wear splashy
colors at this time of year, I am so happy to see Little Black Dresses finally getting the recognition they so richly deserve,”
said Morgan.
“It’s critically important to raise awareness among women that they need several perfect little
black dresses to get them through the spring cocktail party and theater seasons,” counseled Brooksie. “You never
want to be caught without the appropriate little black dress.”
Little Black Dress Day falls on Tuesday, March
16th. Morgan and Brooksie advise women not to be discouraged by the mid-week nature of the celebration.
“Celebrations
and pretty clothes aren’t just for the weekends,” declared Morgan.
Morgan and Brooksie will be breaking
out their little black dresses and bestowing their presence among several upscale lounges and arts outlets in honor of the
holiday.
“The perfect little black dress really should stop traffic and I’m going to put mine to the test,”
proclaimed Brooksie.
In addition to planning individual celebrations, Morgan and Brooksie call upon the Society of
Recovering Sorority Girls and women everywhere to take this opportunity to conduct closet inventory. If you determine that
you have formal wear that you no longer need or excess business attire that is taking up valuable little black dress space,
you are encouraged to contact your local chapter of Project Cinderella or Suited for Change respectively and give those fabulous
outfits a new home while helping other women get the clothes they need for prom or new job interviews!
