WASHINGTON, DC - The Society of Recovering Sorority Girls, though its founders, Kristina "Morgan" Rose and Deandra "Brooksie" Brooks encourage American everywhere to take part in the coming political convention season.

As the conventions are televised, Morgan and Brooksie suggest hosting non-partisan or partisan viewing parties for friends and family.  Guests can embrace their civic duty to learn about the candidates and issues while being treated to a tasteful array of snacks and a fine cocktail.

"I've always believed that they were called political 'parties' for a reason," said Brooksie, a former political aid turned party planning pro.

This election cycle, the conventions begin on July 26th with the Democrats in Boston, and wrap up in New York on August 30th with the Republicans. Morgan and Brooksie believe that Americans who are not serving in delegations or who live outside those metropolitan areas should not exclude themselves from nominating process parties.

"You owe it to yourself to watch both conventions and review all the candidates," said Morgan. "Besides, by watching both conventions then you have a great excuse to throw two more great parties before the end of the summer!"

"I plan to use my viewing parties as a chance to highlight my superior knowledge of Robert's Rules of Order," enthused Brooksie.

Morgan and Brooksie encourage attention to detail when selecting your viewing party date.

"Don't waste your guests' time by inviting them over for a viewing party on a night featuring an unknown key note speaker," counseled Morgan "set your party to coincide with the nomination acceptance.  That's the night with the best party vibe, not mention the biggest balloon drop."

Morgan and Brooksie are both enthusiastic participants in the political process.  As election approaches, they will release additional information encouraging voter registration and participation as part of a larger initiative to make the 2004 election synonymous with recovering sorority girl voters as the 1996 election was with soccer moms.

"Recovering Sorority Girls aren't just women who enjoy home entertaining," said Morgan.

"We believe that they are also a powerful political force," concluded Brooksie.
